How do I work out what size will fit me?
Take four measurements once — hip and seat, underbust, natural waist, and your height — then read them against each brand’s own published size chart rather than trusting the size label. Our guide to measuring yourself walks through it. Treat the answer as a well-informed suggestion, never a guarantee, because bodies and brands both vary.
Do maternity sizes differ between brands?
They do, a lot. A 12 at one label rarely matches a 12 at another, and bump room varies too. That’s exactly why we compare against each brand’s chart instead of assuming a universal size.
Do you sell clothes?
No. 9Edits is an independent publication — we hold no stock, take no payment, and run no shop. We write about how to dress a changing body, and where we point you at a brand you buy on that brand’s own website.
Should I size up while pregnant?
“Just size up” is blunt advice and usually wrong. Most maternity pieces are cut to grow with you and fit true to your pre-pregnancy size — the panel does the expanding. There are real exceptions, and our guide on whether to size up goes through each of them.
What do you actually cover?
Dressing a changing body, right through: pregnancy, the months after birth, feeding, going back to work, and living with a body that changed and stayed changed. Fit as engineering rather than a number on a label, and clothes worth keeping.

Yes. The fit and styling advice applies wherever you are — sizing standards differ by country, which is exactly why we tell you to work from your own measurements and each brand’s own published chart rather than a size label.
